Lenovo Windows 7 Theme is dedicated to the Chinese computer manufacturer Lenovo Group Limited. This Windows 7 Theme is created on the request of skada, Sajal Bagchi and dkbenz who requested for a Lenovo theme. The Beijing based computer manufacturer is the world’s second largest PC maker as of now and is only trailing behind HP in worldwide PC sales. Lenovo Group Limited was founded in Beijing in 1984 by Liu Chuanzhi with the help of ten other engineers. The first PC was introduced by the company in 1990 under its previous brand name Legend while the first laptop was introduced in 1996. Legend also became the biggest PC manufacturer in China in the year 1996 and it was renamed to “Lenovo” in 2003 with plans to expand overseas. However, the turning point for Lenovo came in the year 2005 when it completed the acquisition of IBM’s Personal Computing Division which made it the world’s third largest personal computer company. In fact, the ThinkPad line of laptops and ThinkCentre line of desktops whose designs and brands were inherited from IBM are still the most popular PCs in Lenovo. ThinkPads especially are extremely popular due to their reliability, quality, durability, and performance. In 2008, Lenovo IdeaPad line of consumer-oriented laptop computers and Lenovo IdeaCentre line of desktops (independently researched and developed by Lenovo) were introduced. Lenovo also produces and sells China specific products (which are sold inside the country only) such as the tablet computer LePad and smartphone LePhone which are supposedly low priced competitors to iPad and iPhone in the Chinese market. In 2011, Lenovo expanded it’s worldwide reach even further as it formed a PC joint venture with Japanese PC maker NEC and also became the majority stakeholder in German consumer electronics company and computer manufacturer Medion AG. Lenovo’s principal facilities are in Beijing, Morrisville, North Carolina and Singapore, with research centers in those locations, as well as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Xiamen, and Chengdu in China, and Yamato in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. This Windows 7 Theme contains 10 Lenovo backgrounds and all of them are of 1920 x 1200 pixels like our other Windows 7 Themes. This theme will fit very well into computer screens of nearly all sizes including off course Lenovo laptops and desktops.
NOTE: We have recently shifted our website to a new high end dedicated server with multiple times the processor speed and RAM compared to our previous server. The transfer had taken place in the last 2-3 days and was quite smooth and you would have probably not noticed it.
